A day in Sorbara to celebrate 100 years of history, with wine, cuisine, music, gatherings, and people.
On September 6, 2026, in Sorbara, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Cantina Paltrinieri.
A day designed to share our story through what has always belonged to us: wine, our land, cuisine, conviviality, and people.
The celebration unfolded across the winery and its grounds, featuring a day full of events, tastings, music, and opportunities to connect.
Throughout the day, we enjoyed dishes from Luca Marchini of L’Erba del Re, Giovanni Mandara of Piccola Piedigrotta, Giovanni Cuocci of La Lanterna di Diogene, the Morandi family of Hosteria Giusti, Robby Moncata of Gnock & Roll, Francesco Rompianesi of Al Boschetto da Loris, Palmieri with Mortadella Favola, La Congrega dei Liffi, Giovanna Guidetti of Osteria La Fefa, Gianluca Degani of Gelateria Bloom, and Salumificio Valpa.
One of the highlights of the day was the masterclass dedicated to Radice, led by Pietro Sangiorgio.
Different vintages of Radice were paired with various ages of Parmigiano Reggiano from Caseificio Malandrone 1477, in a journey through wine, territory, and time.
Additionally, some preview scenes from Lambrusco Republic, the documentary film directed by Andrea Mignolo, were presented.
ONAV and the Lambrusco Observatory also participated in the day, helping us pour our wines and those of our fellow producers in Sorbara.
We also collaborated with Essential, who provided the wine glass holders and bean bags, and with Sermax for the festival t-shirts.
And there was a project that held special meaning for us: Il Veliero, to which the entire proceeds of the Centenary Festival were donated, supporting study assistance and educational support for high school students in the Municipality of Modena.
Providing the soundtrack for the day were Tonno and Jacky Sax, along with the Sorbara Band, who accompanied the festivities by creating different moods throughout the day.
100 years, what's next?
A centenary is a time to pause and look at the path traveled. But it is also a time to start again.
And in fact, as soon as the party ended, we returned to the vineyard: the harvest began the very next day.
Perhaps this is the most natural way to recount 100 years of Cantina Paltrinieri: cherishing a history while continuing to look forward.
